I have learned alot after positing my wall oven question. Ultimately, my current junction box is mounted on top of the drywall directly behind my walloven. The junction box is 1/2 inch to tall. (My oven likes about 1/2 inch to be able to go into the opening all the way back. It has 3 wires to connect to the junction box. The issue I have is that the wire is not long enough (about 4-6 inches short) to reach the junction box used by the old oven. So I was planning on connecting a wire to the old junction box and add another junction box closer to the oven and connect the wire from the oven to that junction box.This provides the best drape for the oven cable to the j-box. The wiring and sliding in the oven just works better. What I would do is put in a new 8-3 cable from the existing j-box to a new 4" j-box at the top right (or left) corner of the oven cabinet cavity.
