The reason that there are not a ton of holes on the bottom of the boxed frames is that would be removing the strength of that boxed frame. The more material removed top and bottom, the weaker the frame would be.

The closest thing I have ever installed to a “J-Box” is a fan box. It was called a “fan rated junction box”.but it was only necessary because you need a special box that is capable of holding the weight of the fan. I’m talking more like the kind of J-Boxes you’d find in attics.
