The brake line's block is attached to the axle by the vent nipple, which screws into the axle tube. Remove the vent hose, unscrew the vent nipple, hold the brake block with a crescent wrench, and extract the broken hardline fitting. If you can't, you've already started removing the brake hose.

If it's assembled correctly & the adjuster is all the way in, then you may have to do a little filing on the brake shoe frames where they touch the adjuster so they can pull in a little more.
